John Force Hospitalized After Dramatic Engine Explosion at Virginia Nationals

John Force, the legendary 75-year-old NHRA driver and 16-time champion, was involved in a severe incident at the Virginia Nationals held at Virginia Motorsports Park. After winning his first-round eliminations against Terry Haddock, the Force's Funny Car engine exploded as he crossed the finish line. This led to a dramatic loss of control, causing his car to cross the centerline and collide with both guard walls before finally stopping.

The NHRA released a statement confirming that Force was conscious and responsive following the accident. He was initially examined on-site by the NHRA medical team and subsequently transported to a local medical facility for a more thorough evaluation.
